WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO CONNECT THE DOTS BETWEEN VIOLENCE AND PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS?
HOW ABOUT
A DEAD STRAIGHT LINE.
Psychiatrists have a drug problem.
Today, they depend utterly on psychotropic drugs, prescribing pills such as Prozac, Seroquel and Xanax in 86 percent of all office visits. And though these drugs are handed out widely and often, they are far from safe.
The correlation between psychiatric drug use and violence cannot be denied. While the psychiatric drug prescription rate continues to climb, school shootings now occur once every school day, mass shootings are committed twice a day on average and someone takes their own life once every 45 seconds.
484 drugs
A recent study of 484 drugs on the market found 31 disproportionately linked to violence. 24 of them were psychiatric drugs.
