The psychiatric industry knows the drugs do not work. A psychology professor at Vanderbilt University revealed that “at least half the folks who are being treated with antidepressants aren’t benefiting. If people knew more, I think they would be a little less likely to go down the medication path.”

And yet, psychiatry’s prescription rate continues to soar, with over 250 million prescriptions per year in the US alone. According to the former president of the American Psychological Association, “Many patients don’t want to take more drugs. Too often, psychotropic medication is the only option that is offered.”

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, “The industry is not producing much in the way of effective treatment.” We agree. But one thing is certain. Psychiatrists are very effective at prescribing psychiatric drugs known to cause devastating violence.
